Construction of Secondary Containment Storage Pads for Chemical ISO containers

These 16” thick, fiberglass rebar reinforced containment pads have 8” curbing around with continuous PVC waterstops installed to prevent leakage. Pads are lightly pitched to multiple drains to ensure containment and to maintain safe storage capabilities for multi stacked containers. Custom built drainage systems are double protected from spills with manually operated steel sluice gates installed in the containment pad curb, as well as drain pipe gate valves that can close off pad drainage from the rest of the system. High Strength concrete combined with Fiberglass rebar reinforcement allows the pads to withstand the constant loading of ISO containers and 90 ton Reach Stacking Machines.
